I created my own weekly calendar template on canva, bought a fancy planner, and mapped out my yearly calendar. I will go over how I planned my year by starting with the year, month, and then week.

Yearly Spread:

I started things off by highlighting my yearly calendar through procreate and a calendar I saved from canva. This is also something you can do if you print the calendar and then highlight the calendar.

For example here’s an image of my calendar

I organized everything by category and color,

  • Birthdays
  • School
  • Vacations
  • Festivals/Shows
  • Colabs
  • Launches
  • Appointments

This helps me from scheduling anything when I can't and is a good reference of the whole year.

Monthly Spread

I bought a Lilly Pulitzer planner based on using them when I was in college. I didn't do a lot of research on planners, just went with one that  worked for me in the past. I’m interested in exploring other planners so if you have any suggestions send them my way!

How I normally plan out the monthly part of my planner is basically writing down my appointments, bills and birthdays. I also love color coding everything and to be honest this image does not reflect that very well. I think I misplaced my pens and had to use a pencil but I plan to fix this later.

Weekly Spread

This is actually my favorite part! This has helped me so much and I'm excited to share it with you. If you have ADHD this might help you to focus too. For me my issue was just not being able to focus so I knew I needed something that would help me do that. So I designed this weekly template in canva.

This first image shows how I cut taped the weekly/daily planner in the front cover of my Lilly Pulitzer planner. Basically I decided to try and focus on only certain things on certain days.

Mondays is a free for all day. This way I can begin my week they I want to. I usually use this day to continue working on something.

Tuesdays are project days:

Wednesday is devoted to Markets/Show/Gallery

Thursday is nurture day. This is when I reach out to clients, ask for reviews, follow up, check my email list, and go over my orbit list.

Friday is devoted to content. This is when I take all the videos and pictures of the week and create new content for my Pinterest, Instagram and Facebook. I will also use this day to work on my blog and website.

To make this template even better I made a blank one so I can write down my daily to do's for that day. I share an example of my planned week below. Ignore my bad spelling and handwriting, I normally doing a million things at once when I do anything so a lot of mistakes are made in the process. So far for the month of January this has really worked for me! If you end up trying this I would love to know how it's going for you.

I realize that this probably isn’t very exciting because I haven’t logged much in my planner yet, but I’m really excited to start working on my 2024 planner and get more things filled in!

This really worked for me in January but I'm always game to try something new. If you end up trying this I would love to know if it works out or if you would make any changes. Would you be interested in a check-in later in the year to see if I’m sticking with it? I can’t decide, so let me know in the comments if that’s something you’d like to see!
