She's moody and complicated in all the right places. She endures a whole hell of a lot but she's strong. "My uterus" is a reflection of the traumatic birth I endured that ultimately saved my life.
This painting is a physical reminder of what women can endure during birth. What once was a whole uterus is now a ghost for me. I am still processing what happened just six months ago now but this little 5x7 oil on canvas is just the beginning of my uterus painting journey.
